"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come." (Joel 2:28-31)

The prophet Joel tells us that before the Day of the Lord, there will be both signs in the heavens above and signs on the earth below. We have previously discussed the tremendous signs in the heavens (but I'll bring you up-to-date on a couple of new events in this audio briefing), but the primary purpose of this teaching is to sensitize you to the signs of God's judgment upon a nation that has turned its back on God. As you listen to the scriptures, consider the United States, for surely we are under condemnation. Unfortunately, what we are experiencing today, with the tremendous increase in natural disasters, is nothing compared to what will ultimately come upon the United States.

I trust you have listened to the Nita Johnson/Sid Roth Interview on this site. She makes it clear that America has passed the point of no return in the current cycle of God's judgments. This teaching will provide a biblical framework within which you can properly judge her prophetic warning.

In this teaching, which was given at the end of June, I will also touch on the Middle East situation and comment on Russia and China.

Next time, I will cover the Bill Clinton situation and what it means to America from a prophetic perspective. I will also be covering some of the signs Joel mentions in the opening scripture: fire and billows of smoke. The earth is on fire with forest fires raging out of control around the world. There has also been a tremendous increase in Heat. In addition there have been increases in flooding, drought, disease, famine, etc. We are truly living in the last of the last days. As far as what the prophet Joel saw, it appears that we are in the general time of Joel's vision -- which means we are fast approaching the Day of the Lord.
