Once, after going through the loss of a loved one, as I sat early in the morning gazing out the window at the rising sun, the Holy Spirit once again washed over me in confort and the following poem was inspired. I hope it will also bring confort to you in the days ahead.
The Return - The Sun of Righteousness!
How precious are the fleeting moments
As light meets darkness once again
The cycle of our youth
The soft hues of a day now past
In brilliant reds are seen
The broad expanse before us
Reveal the heavenly scene
Only through majestic hand
Is beauty such as this
As the world is plunged toward darkness
Only once again to live
As darkness yields to the coming light
The victory's been won
Once again the world below
Strains to find the Sun
The light across the broad expanse
In great crescendo grows
Till all is lit in radient white
No darkness found below
The cycle from the days of old
The ebb and flow of life
Yet soon the day shall conquer
In everlasting light
As He's revealed in glorious splendor
To those who yearn to see
And long for His appearing
Who hung upon the tree
So watch you race of modern man
For soon it shall be seen
The Sun in everlasting ascension
We rise to meet our King
