Rosh Ha'Shanah - Is it the Rapture? - Part 4

Will Rosh Ha'Shanah around the turn of the century [some have caluclated as late as 2012 as a possible date] be the start of a new page in history -- some say the rapture, others say the start of the Tribulation.

In early fall, 30 days before Rosh Ha'Shanah, the season of Teshuvah begins; Teshuvah means to return or repent (during this period the people are to examine their lives and repent before it is too late). Click here to learn about Repentance Then, beginning with Rosh Ha'Shanahm the final 10-day period known as the "days of awe" begin. We should note that the Sabbath that falls within this 10-day period is known as

Shabbat Shuvah -- the Sabbath of Return. We can already see the return of Messiah wrapped up in this Jewish liturgy.

 Is was fascinating that there was a total solar eclipse on August 11, 1999 (29 of Av) which was right before the start of the Season of Repentance (started at sundown on August 12, 1999, but if you backed up 30 days from September 10, the earliest start of the two-day Rosh Ha'Shanah holiday, as determined from ancient times, you get August 11). August 11, 1999 was the new moon on our calendars. In ancient days, "spotters" were deployed to watch for the new moon. When the new moon just started to become visible, the "spotters" would run to the High Priest or the Sanhedrin in the Temple and attest to it -- interestingly, the appearance of the new moon required two witnesses. Also due to the difficulty in detecting the new moon and the time it required to get the word out, it was later made into a two-day holiday. So the August 11 solar eclipse is either on or just before the start of the season of Repentance depending on how the reckoning was done.

 What was even more astounding was that the solar eclipse was visible in Israel. The solar eclipse was visible over Europe and the Middle East including Iran, Iraq and Israel. Israel was affected on August 11 (Av 29, 5759), at 16-17 degrees East of Jerusalem between 11:00 - 12:00 U.T. (Universal Time) when the motion of the umbra (the area in which the eclipse is visible) passed over Jerusalem. But the point is, according to Genesis chapter 1:14, that the heavenly bodies are given for signs and this is not a co-incidence that the solar eclipse is visible in Israel the day before the start of the Season of Repentance.

It seems that God was speaking although I am unsure what this particular Rosh Ha'Shannah marked.

 I reported in the "Signs in the Heaven" audio (available on this web site) that there have been four blood red moons visible in Israel over the last couple of years; and now the sun is going to turn to darkness. This should make your hair stand on end.

 This is what Joel had to say under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit:

 "And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come." (Joel 2:20-31)

 We are moving into a prophetically exciting time-period. Consider:

 1) The Solar eclipse just happens to be just a day or so before the start of the season of Teshuvah; "Teshuvah" means to return or repent, and;

 2) 30 days later is Rosh Ha'Shanah, the Jewish Festival known as the "last trump"; the day that no man knows the day or the hour[due to the fact that it begins on Rosh Chodesh (The New Moon) and the new moon was determined when two witnesses see the new Levanah (Moon) and attest to it before the Kohen gadol (High Priest) or the Sanhedrin in the Temple. This determination could happen during either of two days, depending on when the witnesses come]; just happens to fall on a Shabbat (Sabbath); marks a unique alignment of the constellations that depict Revelation 12:1-5. and;

 3) The Hebrew Calandar year that starts with the Rosh Ha'Shanah on September 11th, 1999 started the Hebrew year 5760. There are many conjectures as to why it is not 6000, but apparently God knew the Hebrew year would be 5760, because the Hebrew letters for the phrase "six days" in the Hebrew is comprised of the following Hebrew Letters: "Tav", "Shin", "Shin", "Mem", "Yod", "Mem", "Yod". (7) Each Hebrew Letter has a numeric equivalent similar to Roman Numerals. Multiplying the numeric equivalent of "six days" yields a multiple of 5760 (Specifically 400*300*300*40*10*40*10 or 5760000000000). Also if you take the term "third day" as is found in Hosea 6:1-2 ("Come, and let us return to the LORD; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days (after 2000 years) He will revive us; on the third day (1000 years - the messianic kingdom, the 7th Milleniam) He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.") you get the following Hebrew letters: "Heh", "Tav", "Lamed", "Tav", "Mem", "Vav", "Yod" Again, multiplying the numeric equivalent of each letter in the phrase "third day" yields a multiple of 5760 (Specifically 5*400*30*400*40*6*10 or 5760000000000), and;

 4) There was a comet, which made its closest approach to earth right around Rosh Ha'Shanah, 1999, and;

 5) The planets came into a rare planetary alignment that had the Earth, Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in a straight-line alignment on May 5, 2000. Dr. Julian Salt remarks: "The Six planet are going to line up for the first time in 6,000 years." What is particularly interesting about this planetary lineup is that their positions, from earth's perspective, place them in the constellations of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius, and Scorpius, which some have said correspond to the four beasts of Revelation and Ezekiel.

 6) Based on some calculations, Rosh Ha'Shanah this year occurs in a Jubilee year for Israel. Jubilee is of course when all property and lands return to their lawful owner -- will this be the year Jesus redeems all that was lost to Satan with the fall of Adam.

 It is possible that this 'Rosh Ha'Shanah' marks an important prophetic event. Will it be the rapture? Will it be the start of the Time of Jacob's trouble? Will it be the start of the Great Tribulation? Have the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse already ridden? It would be best if you forget whether you are pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, or pre-wrath and determine you are going to be pro-Jesus or you are not going to make it.

 Remember that the Bible tells us that "Mystery Babylon" was destroyed in one hour. In other words it will be so sudden and unexpected that it will be to late to make spiritual and physical preparations. When Jesus comes at the rapture it will be in the twinkling of an eye -- again, no time to prepare spiritually -- either you have enough oil in your lamp and enter into the wedding feast, or you do not have enough oil and do not enter in. Speaking of "Mystery Babylon", without warning the USA could be destroyed in one hour -- you will note the conspicuous absence of the USA in the events of the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

 Are you walking with Jesus? Remember two cannot walk together unless they be agreed. Do you agree with Jesus about the sin in your own life and have you repented and made Jesus Lord (Lord means you will do what He says to do). If you love Him, keep His commands -- You are either for me or against me - there is no middle ground -- if you are lukewarm, He will vomit you out of is mouth.

 "And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." (Rev 22:10-24)

Rosh Ha'Shanah 1999 may have marked a prophetically important time albeit, not the rapture. Will Rosh Ha'Shanah 2002 also mark an important event? Could it be the start of the Time of Jacob's trouble? Is it the offical start of the Beginning of Birth Pains? In any event, keep looking up for your redemption draweth near.
