Behold, I set thee a watchman on the wall" (Isaiah 62:6)
This was a word for a particular person in leadership, however because it also deals with the lateness of the hour, I want to share it with you at this time. Much of what came forth had to do with the nearness of the Harvest.
So you will understand the context in which this word was received, I need to tell you a little background.
On Sunday, July 9, 1995, my wife and I visited a church. It was an unusual service to say the least. There was no Worship team, no music, and an uncomfortable silence filled the church.
Finally the Pastor came out and began to severally chastise the Congregation. He was angry that someone had said something about his wife. The longer he went on, the angrier he got. He threatened to call people out on the carpet and publicly expose their sin. He made statements like: "Do you think you can hide from me. God speaks to me and God will tell me what you are saying against me...I am God's anointed and God will not tolerate anyone speaking against me...you'd better be careful." It is not necessary to discuss other items.
On July 10, during quiet time, I became more and more agitated. The Holy Spirit washed over me and I felt a sense of urgency to sit down and write to to this Pastor regarding the events of June 9th.
I started to write and the tense changed from 3rd person to 1st person.
If there is one among you in sin, then go to him and gently restore him. My way is always the way of love and restoration. I will not lose any of these precious ones that God has placed in My hand. Do not hold them up to public ridicule and scorn; which is not love, but is from your enemy the evil one, your adversary, the devil.
When I was in the world, I loved and healed and restored everyone who came to Me with a repentant heart, can you do any less?
It is out of a root of bitterness and hurt that you struck out at My people. Purify your own heart through the washing of the Water of the Word, and I will make you clean. You have been bruised for My sake.
Do not be deceived. There is much iniquity in the world, but I go to prepare a place for you, a special place High on My Holy Mountain. But who can walk on My Holy Mountain -- only those who are upright in heart. Do not touch the vain thing, but always at all times seek My face and perfect will for your life.
Pride is your secret enemy. It is your hidden motive. It is a deceiver. Do not hold yourself so high because of the gifts I have given you. Many of My children have gifts of great anointing, but still they fall because their enemy the devil has deceived them. Put on the Mantle of Humility, that you may see clearly. Trust not and revel not in the gifts that I have given you. My gifts are without repentance; they are freely given that you may do My work upon the earth.
Time is short, prepare your flock to meet their God. Go now and repent. Seek My forgiveness and I will hold out My staff to you. Grasp it quickly, lest more evil be done. Purify your heart. Repent while it is still day and begin again the great work that I have given you.
Seedtime and harvest time. The time of the latter rain. It is time to reap the fruit of the harvest, before the great and terrible Day of the Lord.
Seed time and harvest. The vats are almost full and overflowing. Run quickly now and do My work that there will be food in My house. Man does not live by bread alone, bit on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Seed time and harvest. Reap and do not fear. Together we shall do a great work upon the earth before My return.
Already it has begun. Purify yourself and make straight paths for the Lord, because it has begun. I will never leave you nor forsake you. You are a special treasure in an earthen vessel. You are not yet pure gold. It is only in My refining fire that you will be made whole and suitable for My kingdom.
Never lose sight that I am at work in all situations to bring about My holy plan for your life. Trust and obey and forsake not the Holy One of Israel. It has begun. Make straight paths.
I am a Holy God. I walk among the golden lamp stands. Shall they not give their light to a lost and dying world. Be thou light, for I am Light and there is no darkness in Me. Serve in truth and light and you shall prevail. Pride and vain deceit are the work of the enemy, the evil one, the adversary who seeks to kill, maim and destroy all that is holy within you. Take your stand fully clothed in My Armor. Then you shall prevail and see the work of My hand in deliverance.
