Hello,

There are some of you who may think these are unnecessary scare tactics, or perhaps it is not responsible to pass warnings like this along, however, based on my study of Ezekiel 38 and 39 and an indepth study of the signs that a nation is being judged, coupled with a growing belief that America may in fact be Mystery Babylon whose destruction comes in one hour (suddenly), is reason enough to distribute it to you.

I have sounded the warning, how you react is up to you. We can all pray that we will be found worthy to escape the judgement coming upon the earth and to be able to stand before the Son of Man, however, God will not treat any country who violates His laws any differently and that includes the USA. With the innocent blood of almost 40 million babies in the ground, plays that openly mock Jesus as being homosexual operning and being embraced in New York City, there is surely a stentch in the nostrils of God.

God is not mocked!

The following is copied from the Prophecy Club Web site, Mar/Apr 98 newsletter. Strange how a number of different sources are pointing to this same possibility in late 1998. In an advance copy of his yet-to-be-distributed new newsletter faxed to me two days ago, Pastor F.M. Riley says the exact same thing, citing not a vision but an unconfirmed Israeli Mossad intelligence tip to U.S. intelligence that Russia plans a preemptive strike against the U.S. this fall so that we will not interfere with their planned lightning blitzkrieg into Europe, essential to capture resources needed for their crippled economy and starving masses before the harsh Russian winter. (That latter part at least provides a credible rationale for purpose and timing.)

The report, according to Riley, also stated that U.S. leaders were thrown into absolute panic after receiving the information from the Mossad, and after a series of top secret meetings it was decided that if such a nuclear strike actually occurs our government will immediately surrender in order to prevent the total destruction of this country. Given our leadership and the greatly weakened condition of our military, obviously by design, I would not at all be surprised. (Pastor Riley emphasizes that this may be an unconfirmed, false rumor, but he felt he should report it.)

I am intrigued by the several similar reports, but I confess before you that I am doubtful. Lord, please forgive me if I am wrong. I have difficulty imaging such a radical scenario in today's geopolitical environment, as bad as it is. But while I have doubts, I remain open, mainly due to the lateness of the hour and the fact that prophetic events typically occur "suddenly" and unexpectedly. Because of that, I too feel I should report it to you. You be the judge. If nothing happens in 1998, it is still a possible scenario in the very near future. Remember, too, that God may be allowing us to see the devil's plans, but the fervant, effectual prayers of the saints may delay or cancel the devil's plans so as not to get ahead of God's own plan.

Russia to Attack in Late 1998?

Concerned New Zealander, Stuart Hunt I have just read with much interest the information in the Jan/Feb newsletter from your website. (www.prophecyclub.com) I feel lead to send these words of knowledge, I feel the Holy Spirit has been showing me regarding the United States of America. Many words the Lord has given me have come to pass.

January 2, 1998: During the early hours of this morning, I had a vision of standing on the shores of New Zealand. I was looking across the sea and observing a great long pall of smoke and flames rising very high into the sky. They stretched across the horizon. It was not a bush fire, it was a country in flames. A voice said to me quite clearly, "this will be in late '98". I believe this was the United States of America as foreseen in prophecy by quite a number over the years. The Russians will attack from the sea by surprise.

January 5,1998: I had a further vision seeing a great wall of fire and smoke across the horizon. I saw a heavy oily swell on the sea as though a great storm had just passed and everything was silent. My eyes turned to a great city lying in ruins. Some tall skyscrapers still standing looked like burnt out wrecks. One could actually see through them, they were only skeletons. Many were in rubble on the ground, there were burnt out cars and everything had a blackened look. There was unbelievable devastation everywhere - no life. Deathly silence covered everything. This had been a thriving city along the coast, maybe New York or another city. I felt it was New York, once the pride of the nation. The absolute devastation seen before me was quite overwhelming. Even corpses had an unusual blackened look - scorched beyond recognition. This seemed to be indicating atomic searing.

It seems the Holy Spirit is trying to impress the urgency of all this upon me on this matter. This scene is very close, sooner than we think.

Washington Times, Front page, 12/7/97 A Russian attack submarine recently stalked three U.S. aircraft carriers close enough to sink one with high-speed cruise missiles during a series of cat-and-mouse operations not seen since the Cold War, The Washington Times has learned. The Russian Oscar II-class guided-missile submarine spent nearly two weeks in September about 100 miles off the Washington state coastline and sailed undetected for days, eluding U.S. surveillance vessels and aircraft, said government officials familiar with the incident who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "This submarine was built to kill U.S. carriers and Tomahawk missile ships," said one official familiar with details of the encounter.

See my article "God's Judgment on America," which speaks of a possible Russian submarine-launched nuclear missile attack against the U.S. I quote the Wall Street Journal (August 25, 1995): "One puzzling aspect of Russia's defense policy is its emphasis on submarines....is still completing construction of submarines begun in the Soviet era, on about the same timetable as the Soviets produced them....(they) will enter the next century with the largest nuclear submarine fleet in the world."
